Ennio Trignani

Ennio Trignani is a partner at Boddy Ryerson LLP. He has over 25 years’ experience in the practice of law. His main areas of practice are commercial agreements, business law (including business set ups and incorporations, business sales and acquisitions, and business reorganizations), secured financing transactions for banks, real estate transactions, estate planning and estate administration.

Mr. Trignani has sat on numerous boards of directors, including Riverfest, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Brant Law Association, the Brant-Brantford Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Brantford-Sunrise, the Brant Community Foundation, and Brantford Minor Hockey Association. He also has teaching experience, including teaching business law and has been asked to speak as well as write of various legal topics.

Wendy Newton

Wendy Newton graduated from University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Philosophy in 1988 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1992. Ms. Newton graduated from law school on the Dean's List and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1994.

Ms. Newton joined Boddy Ryerson LLP in January, 2012 as a partner after practicing for over 17 years in Brantford in the areas of residential and commercial real estate including purchases and sales, property development, condominium law and development (including advising condominium developers, boards and purchasers), as well as in the areas of corporate commercial law and wills and estates.

Ms. Newton is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Condominium Institute. She has served on numerous committees and boards, including Enterprise Brant and Brant Community Foundation. Ms. Newton was formerly a director and President of the Brant Law Association.

Tanya Stephens

Tanya Stephens is an early graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Brantford campus, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contemporary Studies and Philosophy. She obtained her law degree from Western University in 2006 and was called to the Bar in 2007.

Tanya is a partner at Boddy Ryerson LLP, with a practice focused on real estate, Will preparations, estate administration, and business/corporate law. She is committed to providing clients with practical, solution-oriented legal advice and delivering efficient service tailored to their individual needs.

Dedicated to community involvement, Tanya has volunteered with several local organizations, including the Brant County SPCA, Enterprise Brant, the Brant Community Foundation, and the Brant Law Association. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading, and cheering on her favourite sports teams.

Michael Jaeger

Michael Jaeger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from the University of Guelph in 1989, and received his law degree from the University of Windsor in 1992. Mr. Jaeger was called to the bar in 1994. Mr. Jaeger has practiced law in Stratford, Hamilton and Brantford, Ontario. Michael sat for several years on the Board of Directors of the MS Society of Canada – Brant County chapter.

Mr. Jaeger has been an associate with Boddy Ryerson LLP since January 1, 2007. His main areas of law are civil and commercial litigation, including wrongful dismissal, shareholders disputes, breach of contract, debt collections, personal injury claims, insurance claims, construction liens, appeals, disability claims, professional malpractice, estate litigation, family law and municipal by-law defence work.

Alexandra Derus

Alexandra Derus is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She graduated in 2014, with distinction, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Honours Specialization in Criminology and Minoring in Psychology. Alexandra received her Law Degree from Western in 2017, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.

Returning to her hometown of Brantford, Alexandra joins Boddy Ryerson LLP as an associate, practicing in corporate/commercial law, real estate and wills and estates.

Derek Janzen

Derek Janzen practices primarily in the areas of family law, employment law, estate litigation, and contract disputes. Drawing on extensive experience in negotiation, litigation, and dispute resolution, he is a dedicated advocate who relentlessly advances and defends his clients' interests. Derek is committed to ensuring his clients remain fully informed of their rights, remedies, and legal options so effective legal strategies can be devised in accordance with each client's circumstances and objectives.

Raised in Brantford, Derek graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History, Criminal Justice, and Public Policy. He obtained his law degree from Western University in 2011 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. Apart from one year practicing in Hamilton, Derek has practiced in Brantford throughout his career. He currently serves on the board of the Brant Law Association and remains engaged with the community through participation in local charitable events.

Maddalena Juliano

Maddalena is an Associate Lawyer at Boddy Ryerson, where she maintains a growing practice in dispute resolution and civil litigation. Her experience includes property disputes, breaches of contract, debt collection, personal injury claims, estate litigation, and employment law. Having appeared before various levels of Trial Court, Maddalena is a dedicated advocate who always strives to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.

Prior to her Call to the Bar in 2025, Maddalena earned her Juris Doctor from Bond University, graduating with distinction. Before attending law school, Maddalena obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, with a minor in Law and Society, from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Maddalena understands that legal disputes can be complex and stressful. She is committed to providing practical, strategic, and cost-effective advice while guiding clients through each stage of the legal process. By taking the time to understand their unique circumstances and objectives, she works to protect her clients’ interests and achieve meaningful results.

Outside of her legal practice, Maddalena enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dog.

Dominik Dabrowski

Dominik Dabrowski joined Boddy Ryerson LLP as an articling student and is currently an associate. His client-first approach is focused on education, responsiveness, and providing commercially aware legal advice.

Practicing in the areas of corporate and commercial law, Dominik advises small and medium businesses on a wide range of business law matters including compliance with the Ontario Business Corporations Act and Canada Business Corporations Act, incorporations, reorganizations, acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing and real estate, secured financing, contracts, and franchise matters.

Dominik received his law degree in 2024 from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A highlight of his time in Halifax was his participation in initio, a legal clinic supporting startups and entrepreneurs with accessible legal advice and information related to their business.

Prior to his time in Halifax, Dominik attended the University of Ottawa, graduating in 2021 with an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science (international relations) with a minor in Civil Law.

Outside of his practice, Dominik enjoys hiking, supporting Manchester United, and attending concerts.
